Welcome from Head of College Philip Baxter College is the largest residential college on campus at UNSW, yet the great thing about College life at Baxter is that it is all inclusive: you don't have to worry about not knowing anyone to live with, you don't have to worry where and when to shop for food or pay bills, you don't even have to worry about missing the bus or being late for lectures. Living on campus offers services right at your front door, such as banks, restaurants, cafes, a medical center, post office and many convenience stores. Best of all, just like your lectures and tutorials, these amenities are only a minutes walk away right here on campus.
Philip Baxter College has a very diverse and active House Committee with its members running many aspects of the daily life at College. Whether you enjoy rugby, cricket, table tennis, netball, hockey, chess, playing trivia, a game of pool, playing your guitar, acting or singing in the play or sitting taking it all in on the lawn with friends, Baxter has something to offer everyone, it is just a matter of joining in! You may even discover talents and passions you never thought you had, this is the opportunity that college life provides.
Baxter College is home to seven resident academic tutors, each undertaking postgraduate studies in their respective field. In addition, each semester a group of students excelling in their particular degree is chosen to assist the resident academic tutors. No matter your field of study you will always find someone on had to help with your assignments and exam preparations!
If this sounds like the kind of place you can see yourself living, I encourage you to apply!
