Our Story

In 1966, the third and final of the Kensington Colleges was opened and named after Sir Philip Baxter, a former Vice-Chancellor at UNSW and Chairman of the Sydney Opera House Trust.

The Kensington Colleges is a self-managing entity which now falls under the jurisdiction of the UNSW Housing Office.

Philip Baxter College caters for over 200 collegians, seven tutors and the Head of College’s family.
