The weekly tradition of Coffee Night each Sunday is an important part of social life in Baxter College. The entire college gathers, important announcements are made, organised activities for coming week are described and the stories of the previous week brought back to life.

College leaders organise activities for the busy social calendar, where there is an event planned for every night of the week! Such activities include sampling the night life of Sydney, movie nights, lawn bowls days, trivia nights, reading groups, formal dinners, scavenger hunts, harbour cruises and the annual Baxter Ball.

The hallowed Ruth Wheen cup residing currently in Baxter College is yet another side of social life. Hot, but friendly, competition between the Kensington colleges featuring art works, trivia competitions, pool, table tennis, chess, the ever popular Miss Kenso Beauty Pageant and many more.
