College freshers were welcomed and returning students were welcomed back at the tri-college commencement dinner on Wednesday 12th March. In attendance were the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Professor Richard Henry AM; Deputy Chief Operating Officer Mr Neil Morris; college principal, Dr Ian Walker and the Heads of Basser, Baxter and Goldstein Colleges.

Tri-college academic prizes and the Ruth Wheen Cup were also awarded. The TKC Award was presented to Andrew Wilson from Baxter College. The award is given to a resident of the colleges who is judged to have best demonstrated the college's vision, mission and values; especially in academic achievement, college participation and service to the community.
